NGi have successfully secured €212,000 in funding directly from the European Union to help develop programmes that will prepare disadvantaged young people to better integrate into the labour market, as well as equipping teaching and learning professionals with the skills needed to effectively engage with this cohort of learners.
Working with Gedling Borough Council along with three social enterprises based in Italy and Hungary, a vocational training centre based in Austria, we established a transnational partnership to develop and secure a successful project application.
Project work will commence in February 2015 and run through until October 2017, with all UK based activity being in the borough of Gedling who were extremely keen to encourage the initiative as it aligns with objectives within their Employment & Skills Delivery Plan.

We worked closely with SASIE Limited, a small business enterprise based in Nottingham that operates within the Low Carbon and Renewable Technology. They have a passion for educating people and creating a better understanding of how these technologies can radically change the way we live .
Working together and with their supply chain, which is largely based in Germany, we established a partnership with a local Multi Academy Trust and put together a programme focused around the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths). The programme provides an opportunity for the Academy Trust's Year 12 & 13 students, by enriching their main learning programmes and by highlighting to them the wide range of careers and employment opportunities in this rapidly expanding sector.
