New research published today by the National Apprenticeship Service shows that young people are more eager than ever to prove themselves in the workplace.
The survey conducted by ICM research shows that nearly two-thirds (65%) of young people interviewed would like more employers to offer them work experience and the chance to prove themselves - that’s a lot of hungry applicants!
Nearly half (45%) of those polled say they would prefer to show a potential employer what they can do in person by doing work experience with them, rather than just selling their skills on an application form or CV.
The survey also showed how determined they are to find work and more prepared to prepare for an interview than ever before! Half of the respondents said they would like even more information before an interview to help them prepare.
